A free form biography and art philosophy statement. by
t.e. scott I turned 70 this year, and I’ve been painting for about 35 years. Half my life. I graduated from The Cleveland Institute of Art in 1967 with a degree in graphic design and a minor in painting. I also have a BA in Economics from Muskingum College. I have never done a very good job of marketing my work and always have enjoyed just doing it. But now is the time to try to sell it. If you want to see some of my work go to tescott.com. I recently have reduced the amount of graphic design work I was doing and am painting in watercolor, oil and acrylic which I do on canvas board and porcelain. I have always done ceramics and pottery and the porcelain and acrylic work evolves from this. A few last
words. I am not a big churchgoer. But as some folks in Virginia might say, I am truly blessed. I am blessed that I love what I do. Blessed that I don’t have to paint like everybody else. Blessed that I have much that I want to say, and the vision to be able to do it in a unique and significant way. Blessed that I want nothing more than to fill as many hours of every day that I have left, with what I do now, every day. I hope you enjoy my paintings. |
